A Puzzling Puzzle
Christmas present from our daughter, The Tower Bridge in London which we walk across on a Sunday morning every time we are in London. There was a problem with it and it took some time to figure it out, and no, it wasn’t a missing piece. (There are many more pieces in a tray not shown in the photo.)

The puzzling part wasn’t a missing piece, it was an extra piece. But in the end, trial and many errors resulted in all the pieces in the right place. Having enjoyed it so much we passed it on to a puzzle loving friend who has also visited London.
Backyard Improvements – II
A metal raised bed instead of the wooden raised beds we have built in the past.
Bought from Amazon. From what I could gather reading the questions, answers and reviews on this and other metal raised beds, this particular brand would satisfy our needs well enough.
The square is 16 inches on a side, and the assembled bed is 2 foot by 4 foot. Hopefully it will be that good things come in small packages.
Contents of the box. The small package containing the 48 bolts and nuts used to assemble the panels can be seen inside the panel wrapping at the nine o’clock position.

Tools needed for assembly. Note the nuts are square instead of hex so a pair of pliers works best to hold them. My new drill made it so easy!
Assembled and in place, or at least this was the place where she thought she wanted it at the time.
Making Life a Little Easier
She was a happy girl at Christmas when she opened a present to learn it was a new sheet for the bed in the 5th wheel. Actually, she had discovered it online and ordered it for herself for me to give to her. She knows how to get the exact present’s she wants.
What made this sheet different was the zipper that made for easy removal of the top of the sheet for it to be washed while the sides stayed on the bed. Due to the confined nature of our bed, RV’s can be small you know, it is very hard to remove and replace a normal sheet, especially with our super thick mattress. Now it is a simple zip and it is off followed by a zip and it is back on. Easy-peasy. And she actually did it for me as I was the one who would put the sheet back on the bed after it was washed. Did I ever luck out in meeting her on that blind date.
A New Monarch Appears
A few days ago Linda noticed a green chrysalis on the side of our chiminea. Today when she checked it, the butterfly had already emerged.
Then she noticed a Monarch on the patio.
Wings open. Hard to take the photo when its wings are opening and closing.
Underside of its wings. She placed it near one of our butterfly bushes and a while later observed that it was gone. Maybe it was was one we saw fluttering around at that time. And the cycle of life continues.
