London – Winding Down Our Visit

October 10, 2022 Next to last day in London. Highlight was something special for Linda.

These animal sculptures can be found at various locations around London.

the morning’s destination was another market. Directions? Head toward this church and look around.

Our destination. Unfortunately Covid had apparently not been kind to it and it sure wasn’t as lively as we remembered it being.

And yes, there were a number of food booths, but we compared it to what had been done to Sacs Thrift Avenue in Puerto Penasco. That special feeling it had has been modernized and the old vibe is gone.

No, we didn’t stop and eat. Chipotles took care of that need.

We had to laugh as it gets cold when you are surrounded by skyscrapers.

We see a few Starbucks as we traverse the city, but they never seem nearly as busy as their English coffee house equivalents.

These things are everywhere we go.

Another one on the same street.

And yet another one.

I guess one could say there be Tesla’s and Dragons among us.

Nearby is a special place for Linda.

City of London Gin is one of her favorites.

Not wanting to be late for the distillery tour and gin tasting, she made sure we were definitely the first ones to arrive, In the end their were five from the US, two from Canada and two from Italy.

The gins. As always at these tastings, Fever Tree is the only tonic water used.

Our leader and two of the four stills in the distillery.

The stills are always so bright and shiny.

The awesome smile says it all. I did good indeed.

We have our keys at to where to turn to get to the apartment., this is one of them. It was a twenty minute walk to the distillery and we walked both ways. We could have taken the underground, but it would have involved changing trains at two diferent stations and taken just as long. Besides the walking was good exercise.
