Backyard Improvements – V

Unfortunately there was a bit of a problem with how she wanted the raised beds positioned. There was no water outlet for the 4 foot bed in the center.

Problem solved. Dig a trench, install pipe and problem is solved. I always wait a day when installing the pvc irrigation pipe to allow the pipe cement to fully set. Better safe than sorry.

More raised beds! She liked the look of that first one we bought three more. This is the placement she has decided on.

These come in the gray color in only the 2 feet by 4 feet size and she really, really wanted a 2 foot round one. No problem. We ordered three more 2 foot by 4 foot beds and then assembled them as a 2 foot round, a 2 foot by 4 foot and a 2 foot by 6 foot bed. The result was exactly the look she wanted. Just took a little thinking outside the box.

Starship Moves Ever Closer to Launch

Earlier this week SpaceX conducted a Wet Dress Rehearsal on a fully stacked Starship as it continued to move ever closer to the first launch of the the world’s largest rocket. It doesn’t look it but it is 395 feet tall and has 5,000 tons (10,000,000 pounds) of liquid fuel and oxidizer loaded into it.

A Puzzling Puzzle

Christmas present from our daughter, The Tower Bridge in London which we walk across on a Sunday morning every time we are in London. There was a problem with it and it took some time to figure it out, and no, it wasn’t a missing piece. (There are many more pieces in a tray not shown in the photo.)

All assembled,

The puzzling part wasn’t a missing piece, it was an extra piece. But in the end, trial and many errors resulted in all the pieces in the right place. Having enjoyed it so much we passed it on to a puzzle loving friend who has also visited London.
