Smarter The Second Time

Built another set of shelves similar to the first ones. ( I think I uploaded a of that.)

Unfortunately with the first set of shelves I had a problem. The screws I was using to fasten the shelf slates to the end pieced were such that sometimes the slats would split. And no, I wasn’t going to drill pilot holes.

Problem solved, and even better they are guaranteed for life, whatever that means.

But She Said

About a month a month ago we noticed several bushes had a large number of caterpillars on them. We posted a photo of those ravenous little crawlers and a friend said to just let them eat away. One they won’t kill the plant and two, the will turn into the beautiful Theona Checkerspot Butterfly. We looked them up online and had to agree they were certainly beautiful. We never did get to see them when the completed their life cycle and took flight, but we do get to see our now dead bush. In natures battle of the survival of the fittest, the bush lost out. Besides, we really didn’t like that bush anyway.

New Intro to My Videos Created With Davinci Resolve 18

The best advice I have ever seen about learning a new complex app is to just use it over and over and slowly but surely you will come to understand it. I’m still in the baby step mode with Davinci Resolve 18, but the more I use it the more I really do understand it. Unfortunately truly basic simple tutorials are extremely few and far between, but by going through a lot of garbage a true gem is occasionally uncovered and it took one of those for me to truly understand 3D lighting in Davinci Resolve. The result is the new short but sweet intro below.
