
The keypad cover on the entrance lock was deteriorating after just a few years and needed to be replaced.

Step one was removing the inside mechanism.

The exterior mechanism with the original silicone pad removed showing the thin film that was cracking and falling apart.

They offered two types of replacement pads. One was the same as the original, the other was a much more robust pad that actually didn’t cost that much more than the flimsy original.
