Bought a new drill from Amazon, but when it arrived there was something odd about the box.

The front of the box had been subjected to the same “disfigurement.”

Before opening the box I checked the security tape placed over both flaps and they were intact indicating the box had never been opened. Also, all the contents were in perfect condition. The only thing I could figure out was that someone had bought a the same drill some time ago and thrown away the packaging. Then later there was a rebate offer that required that several areas of the box the drill had come in to sent in to receive the rebate. So someone just ordered the same drill from Amazon, cut out the sections of the box labels they needed, then returned the unopened box to Amazon, maybe saying they ordered the wrong item. In a small way it is a symptom of what has happened to America these past few years.

As for the drill, I absolutely love it as it is perfect for what I do as a handyman around the house at my age.
