Fourteen hours after going to bed at 7:30 last evening we woke up, yet still had an hour to go for breakfast that was served until 10:30. Buffet style with the local specialties we love about overseas travel. For me the highlights were the blue cheese, munster cheese (The very strong smelling yet mild tasting type made in this region, not the awful Kraft crap muenster we get in the US.), fresh squeezed orange juice and Kugelhopf, a yeasted Bundt cake of the region.
No it could be said there was not very much food on my plate, and that would be correct. When you have such wonderful quality you don’t need quantity (thinking of you, Grand Slam Breakfast). Also, it goes without saying the coffee was simply over the top. France is one place I drink coffee rather than my usual tea.
